New customers at Crypto.com can claim a welcome promotion for its prediction product: trade $10 through OG, its standalone prediction-market platform, and claim up to $10 in new player rewards, no promo code required. What Crypto.com doesn’t publish is its per-contract fee formula. It sets pricing per market, and most of the cost comes from the bid-ask spread rather than a published commission.

Polymarket US, Robinhood, and Kalshi publish per-contract costs, allowing traders to compare actual costs before committing. Crypto.com skips this; traders must check before funding an account.

Is There a Crypto.com Event Contracts Promo Code?

Crypto.com doesn’t require a promo code to qualify for or claim a welcome offer. New members who register via OG must complete a qualifying trade of at least $10 within 7 days after KYC to claim the $10 welcome offer.

Also, only trades priced below 80% probability qualify for this welcome promotion, and you can’t withdraw this bonus as cash. Instead, it applies to the fees and costs of future trades and expires in 30 days.

Where the Cost Actually Sits: The Spread

Unlike Kalshi or Robinhood, Crypto.com doesn’t publish a commission for executing contracts. Instead, trade costs sit between what traders are willing to pay and what sellers are willing to accept. A wider gap makes trading more expensive.

How to Read a Market Before You Trade It

To be successful, you’ll need to read the spread before committing. Use our quick guide below to maximize your trades on the platform.

How to Price a Market When There Is No Published Fee

Step What to do
  • Find the best bid
It’s the highest price a buyer is willing to pay
  • Find the best ask
It’s the lowest price the seller is willing to accept
  • Take the gap
It’s the cost of entering and exiting the event, before any market movement
  • Worked example
A contract that’s priced at 48¢ bid and 52¢ ask costs 4¢ to round-trip
  • On 100 contracts
This translates to $4 in fees, before any market movement
  • Compare against
The published cost per contract at the other venues
  • Repeat per market
The spread is set per market, so the fee in one contract tells you nothing about the other

What Crypto.com Does Not Publish

  • Per-contract fee formula
  • Taker or maker split
  • Rebate
  • Anything a trader can use to compare fees against other venues before opening a specific market

Crypto.com Against Kalshi, Polymarket and Robinhood

Crypto.com is the odd one out in this lineup for failing to publish any information or numbers about costs.

What Each US Venue Publishes

Venue Published per-contract cost?
Kalshi Yes, and it relies ona  price-dependent formula
Polymarket US Yes, uses a price-dependent schedule, effective July 1, 2026
Robinhood Yes, it’s commission-based, plus an exchange fee, charged per contract on both sides. This translates to a $0.01 commission and another $0.01 in fees.

Funding Your Account

Crypto.com remains a solid pick for traders, supporting both fiat and crypto payment options in its mainstream consumer app. You can fund your trade from your existing Crypto.com balance, together with wire for fiat, ACH transfer, and crypto payments. OG, its official trading platform, also supports deposit options like Google Pay, Venmo, Apple Pay, and cards.

The OG App and the Main Crypto.com App

Your event contracts trade on two platforms: on OG or the main Crypto.com app for Android and iOS. Both platforms run on the same underlying exchange, Crypto.com Derivatives North America, but they can differ in the bonuses offered.

Always verify which bonus or promotion applies to each platform before funding your account or opting in. You can check our list of venues with published cost structures, or revisit our updated guide on how sign-up bonuses work.

How Crypto.com Event Contracts Are Regulated

The Nadex Registrations

Crypto.com Derivatives North America operates under CFTC oversight as a contract market and runs its own in-house derivatives clearing organization. Its registration allows the operator to list and clear its contracts. Crypto.com holds the registrations of the former North American Derivatives Exchange, Inc. (Nadex), which it acquired in 2021.

It then added event contracts through its derivatives arm in December 2024, and a standalone OG platform soon followed in February 2026.

Where You Can Trade

The product is available across major US states, but certain restrictions apply to specific contract categories. According to the latest market data, OG is available nationwide except Arizona and New York, with sports-specific contracts restricted in Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, Nevada, and Ohio.

Interestingly, non-sports categories like economics, politics, and crypto remain accessible in these states. The landscape continues to evolve as litigation continues; visit our legal states page for the current status.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a Crypto.com event contracts promo code?

You don’t need a traditional promo code to claim a welcome bonus at Crypto.com. New customers who sign up through OG and settle a $10 trade within 7 days of verification can claim up to $10 in new player rewards. Always check the specific bonus and T&Cs in your account before opting in.

What fees does Crypto.com charge on event contracts?

Unlike Robinhood or Kalshi, Crypto.com doesn’t publish a single fee formula for its event contracts. Pricing on its platform is set per market, and much of the cost comes from the bid-ask spread rather than a fixed commission. The operator’s model is similar to sportsbook pricing, rather than what’s available in other US venues.

How do you work out what a Crypto.com contract costs?

Check the spread. Compare the best bid and best ask on your preferred market, and use the gap as your entry and exit cost. For example, a contract listed at 48c with a 52c ask costs 4c to round-trip before the price changes.

Is Crypto.com cheaper than Kalshi or Polymarket?

For transparency, Crypto.com lags behind its rivals. Kalshi, Robinhood, and Polymarket US publish the per-contract cost, which you can check and compare before depositing funds. Crypto.com doesn’t publish this information, so individual traders must check and verify the spread in the individual market.

How do you fund event contracts on Crypto.com?

You can fund your account using the Crypto.com account balance. Your account supports deposits via ACH and wire transfer, as well as cryptocurrencies and stablecoins in the app. You can trade event contracts in the main app or on the OG platform, which went live in February 2026.

Is Crypto.com event contracts regulated?

Yes, Crypto.com Derivatives North America is a CFTC-approved designated contract market, supported by an in-house derivatives clearing organization, and holds the registrations of the former North American Derivatives Exchange, Inc. (Nadex). The company added event contracts through its derivatives arm in December 2024.

Can you trade Crypto.com event contracts in every state?

Not all categories are supported in states where Crypto.com is live. The product is federally regulated, but state restrictions apply to specific contract categories, and a handful of states specifically target sports contracts. Check our updated legal states page for the latest information on Crypto.com availability and supported categories by state.
